AI & Beyond: Youth Summit 2026 at a Glance

AI & Beyond: Youth Summit 2026 took place on Sunday, 25 October 2026, at Rongdhonu Convention Hall in Mirpur 11, Dhaka. The event was organised by JCI Dhaka Founders, around the theme “Career, Identity and the World Ahead.”

AI & Beyond: Youth Summit 2026 at a Glance

JCI Dhaka Founders is a community of founders, entrepreneurs and business leaders, and many of its members run businesses built around AI, whether by building AI-powered products or delivering services with AI. Drawing on that hands-on experience, the team designed the summit to help young people in Bangladesh use AI more effectively in their careers and lives. The programme was led by JCI Dhaka Founder Local President, Afshana Rahman.

The organizers had planned for around 300 participants. A final turnout of more than 330 people showed how strong the interest in AI has become among young people in the city. The hall brought together:

  • Students exploring which skills will matter most in their future careers
  • Job seekers looking for an edge in a fast-changing job market
  • Young professionals who want to work smarter with AI tools
  • Entrepreneurs and speakers ready to share what has worked for them

Why a Youth Summit on AI Matters Right Now

Bangladesh’s young people are entering a job market where AI is already part of everyday work. According to the organisers, a large share of the attendees at AI & Beyond were working toward a better job, planning to start their own business or preparing to study abroad. For all of them, learning to use AI well is becoming part of the plan.

Afshana Rahman explained the thinking behind the summit: “In this age of AI, the world is moving incredibly fast. We believe the young generation of Bangladesh can move faster, if they can utilize the power of AI in the right way. That’s why we designed every part of this summit to be practical and useful for them.”

Why a Youth Summit on AI Matters Right Now

AI tools are no longer something only engineers use. They now help with writing, research, design, coding, customer support and planning. For a young person entering the job market, that raises an honest question: where do I fit in?

Many students hear about AI every day on social media, but far fewer get guided, hands-on practice with it. Without that practice, AI can feel either like a threat to future jobs or like a shortcut that does not need real skill. Neither view helps anyone build a career.

an honest question - where do I fit in?

Bangladesh has a young, ambitious and digitally active generation. Many of them already freelance, run small online businesses or plan to start their own ventures. For them, learning to use AI well is not a nice extra. It is quickly becoming a core career skill.

For job seekers, knowing how to use AI responsibly can make a real difference in an interview or a first project. For aspiring founders, it can mean testing an idea faster and with fewer resources.

This is where a youth summit makes a real difference. AI & Beyond put learners, practitioners and entrepreneurs in the same room. Participants got to ask questions, see real examples and try the tools themselves.

The theme also made an important point: in the AI era, a career is not only about tools. It is about knowing your strengths, building your identity and using technology to grow them.

Inside the Summit: Highlights from the Day

The programme was built around hands-on learning and open conversation. Speakers and panellists shared lessons from their own journeys as founders and business leaders, including Afshana Rahman (Co-Founder, xCloud), Nahid Hasan (Managing Director, Bizcope), Jahangir Alam (Founder, efoli), Saiful Islam (Founder, English Therapy), FHM Waresur Rahman (Founder, Accord) and Shirajul Mamun.

Participants asked questions, tried AI tools in real time and heard an honest view of what employers and founders expect from young talent today. Here are the moments that stood out.

Inside the Summit: Highlights From the Day

1. Hands-On Sessions with Real AI Tools

Instead of only watching slides, participants got to try AI tools themselves. These hands-on sessions showed how AI can help with everyday tasks, from drafting and research to organising ideas. For many attendees, it was the first time they had used these tools with expert guidance in the room.

2. An Entrepreneur Panel on AI for Work, Careers & Business

A panel of entrepreneurs shared how they use AI in their own work and ventures. The discussion stayed practical: where AI saves time, where human judgement still matters and how young people can start using it in their careers and side projects today.

3. A Clear Message: Make Effective Use of AI

Across the sessions, speakers returned to one message: young people should make effective use of AI. That means going beyond casual experiments and putting AI to work for real tasks, career development and new business ideas. The Daily Star covered the summit and highlighted this call for youth to use AI in their careers and entrepreneurial work.

4. Honest Conversations About Career, Identity & the World Ahead

The summit theme gave participants room to think bigger than any single tool. Conversations touched on how careers are changing, how to stand out in a crowded job market and how to stay confident when technology moves this fast. The room was full of questions, which is exactly what a youth summit should spark.

Why xCloud Joined as Gold Sponsor?

xCloud joined AI & Beyond: Youth Summit 2026 as a Gold Sponsor. For a hosting company, supporting a youth summit may look like an unexpected step, but the link is a natural one. xCloud is built for the people who turn ideas into live websites, apps and AI agents, and the young people in that hall are the next group to do exactly that. Here is why the team chose to be part of it.

Why xCloud Joined as Gold Sponsor

xCloud is a next-gen hosting management platform built for WordPress, AI agents and any apps. It helps developers, agencies and businesses build, deploy and manage their sites without the usual server headaches. xCloud is part of Startise, the parent company behind brands like WPDeveloper, Templately, easy.jobs and Storeware, which together serve millions of users worldwide.

AI is already part of how xCloud works. From one dashboard, users can deploy AI agents alongside WordPress sites, Git projects and 1000+ one-click apps. So the topic of AI & Beyond is close to home for the team: the same kinds of tools young people explored at the summit are the ones they may one day deploy, host and scale.

That is why xCloud joined AI & Beyond as a Gold Sponsor. The goal was simple: help create a space where young people can learn about AI in a practical, honest and encouraging way.

xCloud co-founder Afshana Rahman, who is also CMO at Startise, led AI & Beyond as Local President of JCI Dhaka Founders in 2026. During her term, the chapter was named the Most Outstanding Local Organization in Asia Pacific (ASPAC).

How Summits Like This Help the Youth Community

A single day can only cover so much, but the effect of a well-run youth summit can last long after the event ends. The organisers of AI & Beyond planned for exactly that: they also launched a 7-Day AI Challenge, encouraging participants to put what they learned into action and share their work on social media with #JCIDhakaFounders.

How Summits Like This Help the Youth Community

Beyond follow-up activities like this, well-run youth summits leave a lasting impact in a few clear ways:

  • Practical exposure: Participants move from reading about AI to actually using it, which builds real understanding.
  • Confidence: Seeing peers and mentors use AI well makes the technology feel approachable instead of intimidating.
  • Career direction: Hearing from entrepreneurs helps young people see new paths, from freelancing to building their own companies.
  • Connections: Students, professionals, organisers and sponsors meet in one place, which often leads to mentorships and opportunities.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking: Practical examples encourage participants to imagine how AI could power a business idea of their own.
  • A stronger local ecosystem: When youth organisations, companies and media work together, the whole tech community grows stronger.

For Bangladesh’s youth community, these effects add up. Every young person who leaves with new skills and fresh confidence can share that knowledge with friends, classmates and colleagues.

Looking Ahead!

The summit has ended but the learning is meant to continue. After a day of hands-on sessions and honest conversations, more than 330 young people went back to their campuses, workplaces and projects with new ideas to try, and with a 7-Day AI Challenge to help them start.

Afshana Rahman summed up the spirit of the day: “This is just the beginning. We want to keep creating opportunities that help young people grow, compete globally and build a better future for themselves and for Bangladesh.”

For students and young professionals who could not attend, the core lesson still applies: pick one real task this week, try an AI tool on it and learn from the result. Small, steady practice is how curiosity turns into a career skill.
